The Newberg Soccer Club is an organization with an exciting future. We strive to combine soccer excellence with three key values: a sense of community (relationship), strong player development (integrity), and appropriate competition (fairness).

 

Community. NSC is a unifying force in Newberg. Our efforts to support the soccer community are helping more children and their families to fall in love with the game. We promote community based self-esteem by enabling our youth to give back to the community with their valuable skills through the following outreach programs:

· Soccer In The Park (April – May, grades 1-4)

· Multi-generational coed indoor soccer

· Assisting CPRD’s Little Kicks and summer camps when invited

· Participating with Love, INC. and the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Float

· Fundraising for a cooperative Artificial Turf Field

 

Development. All coaching decisions are made with the long term growth of the individual player in mind. This means that winning is secondary to skill and tactical development and, most importantly, having fun that best suits their physical, mental, and social interests.

 

Competition. NSC seeks to match players and teams with the appropriate level of competition that allows them to successfully develop individual and group skills and tactics. We also encourage our players and teams to aspire to the next level of competition in order to continually hone the skills they have mastered under increasingly competitive conditions.
