NSC announces their new Director of Coaching, Stan Baker!

Stan has a history of developing players and programs at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.  He is also known for uniting local soccer communities. He is fluent in English and Spanish and holds top coaching licenses from Argentina and Peru besides earning the USSF "A" and "Youth" licenses.  He has played internationally but, most importantly, for the last 8 years he has adapted world wide soccer methods to fit the needs of the moment in players and communities around the Greater Portland area.

As a high school and past elementary school teacher, he brings a K-12 understanding of youth development and as a Directing Coach he has brought dramatic improvement to different programs including ODP.  He has been described as definitely there for the kids, open to other perspectives, and a skilled teacher of youth and other coaches.  His passion for soccer and youth development are currently invested in his roles as an OYSA Staff Coach, a Western Oregon University Coach, and the Head Coach of the Olympic Development Program's 1996 (U13/14) boys group.
